A workshop focusing on microphone techniques and mixing practices in Turkish folk music recordings was held in the studio control room on 24 April 2026, with the contribution of Avşar YENGİN.
During the event, the ways in which performance practices specific to Turkish folk music are reflected in the recording process were discussed; microphone techniques for traditional instruments, particularly the bağlama, as well as placement strategies and acoustic approaches that vary according to stage and studio conditions, were examined in detail. Furthermore, mixing techniques applied during the post-production process were discussed using examples, focusing on frequency balance, dynamic control, spatial arrangement and sonic integrity.
